Tech Police Commander Transferred over Car Fraud

Written By DOL Ghana on Monday 2 January 2017 | 02:59:00

ASP Ransford Nsiah , the Police commander at the Tech Police station in Kumasi in the Ashanti region, who was declared wanted by the regional police command, has been transferred.
His crime officer has been directed to take over the affairs of the station until such a time when a substantive commander is found.
It is not immediately known where the embattled commander will be heading to and which specific duty he will also be assigned but sources revealed he is to report at the police headquarters from where he will be reassigned.
But according to the Ashanti Regional Police Public Relations Officer (PRO) ASP Yusif Mohammed Tanko, the police hierarchy is not enthused in the way the commander handled a case brought before
“There was a woman who wanted to buy a vehicle, not knowing she was dealing with swindlers who swindled her of her money and she didn’t get the car too. She made a report to the Tech (KNUST) police station so it was the manner in which he [ASP Peter Insiah] responded to the complaints made, the regional command was not happy with, because they felt he could have done better.”
ASP Peter Insiah is believed to be aiding a gang that robs people of their money after pretending to be selling off their vehicle to them around the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
According to Police sources, the suspect went ahead to erase details of a car that was recently busted by the police from the same syndicate.
